Abstract

Heavy metal pollution is amongst one of the foremost severe environmental downside that results in declination in overall sustainability around the globe. Various efforts are created to construct transportable sensors for analyzing these metals in our surrounding. Insertion of nanomaterials into sensors results in substantial advancement in the efficiency of devices with respect to selectivity, sensitivity, portability and multiplexed detection capability. This review paper presents the efficient sensor for heavy metal detection and further highlights different types of nanosensors and their application in sensing. Out of which Plasmon based nanosensors are the most efficient one. Recent advancement in plasmonic nanosensors has signified modern and extraordinary options towards highly sensitive biological and chemical sensors, and in our perspective, plasmonic nanosensors has wide scope.
