Common Fixed Point and Best Simultaneous Approximations Theorems Under Releaxed Conditions

Abstract

In this paper ,we obtain some common fixed point theorems  for P-operator pair and occasionally weakly compatible mapping on a set
X together with the function d: XX[0,) without using the triangle  inequality and assuming symmetry only on the set of points of
coincidence. As an application, we have established best simultaneous approximation result. Our theorems generalize recent results existing in the literature.
