An Improved Estimation Procedure of Population Mean in Two Phase Sampling

Abstract

This paper presents an improved estimator of population mean under the frame work of two phase sampling scheme in presence of two auxiliary variables. Performance of the proposed estimator has been examined in terms of theoretical and empirical comparisons. Empirical studies suggest that the proposed estimator dominates over the several well known estimators under the similar situations. Results are analyzed and recommendations have been made.
